Associate Attorney (2 years)

Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, LLP (GRSM) has an immediate opening for attorneys handling either Commercial and Employment Litigation, Professional Liability / General Litigation, or Insurance Coverage Litigation or Medical Malpractice with a minimum of at least two years of experience. The Associate works under the direction of the Office Managing Partner, Practice Group Leader and/or Partners in preparing matters for hearing, trial, arbitration or mediation. Ideal candidates must have two or more years of experience.

Candidates must be licensed to practice in Arizona.

Qualifications

· Duties and responsibilities include drafting correspondence, pleadings, opinion letters and other documents; reviewing and analyzing documents for relevance and privilege; preparing for, attending and summarizing depositions; coordinating with witnesses; communicating with clients, courts and other counsel

· Solid written and verbal communication skills and command of the English language

· Analyze and interpret complex contracts and insurance policies, evaluate and research novel legal issues, and in some instances, prosecute and defend litigation in federal and state courts on a nationwide scale

· Maintain current knowledge of Local Rules, Rules of Civil Procedure, FRCP and other applicable codes and regulations

· Coordinate and communicate with parties outside the Firm including clients, courts, opposing and co-counsel, vendors, attorneys, secretaries, paralegals, case assistants, managers and other staff
